About the Maker

Hey all! My name is Kara Elliott, I’m a 30 year old stay at home mom of the sweetest little 2 year old boy. I live in Toney River, a very rural beach/cottage community on the north shore of Nova Scotia. 

I started this whole clay journey in late September 2021 while on maternity leave; as a kind of creative outlet to help me cope with some postpartum issues I had been diagnosed with. At the time it was mid-pandemic, I just had a baby and felt l didn't have anything for ME. Everything in my life kind of revolved around being "mom".

I've always been kind of a DIY/crafty/artsy person so I went to Michael's to pick up some things that might be able to keep my busy during the days when I had some free time. Walked out with a big bag of polymer clay and thus the nap time hustle began!
